CONCLUSION

Thus it can be concluded that data mining is an ongoing activity which involves pattern recognition in the datasets. Association Rule Discovery can be a helpful and important data mining technique if used effectively. We find that the algorithms Apriori and AprioriTid form one of the most important works done on Association Rule Theory. Many of the other algorithms are modifications of these algorithms and some use hashing and pruning methods. Finally, the paper also examined two situations where the Association Rule Technique has been implemented in a real-world scenario. It is worth noting that operations on real data, as opposed to synthetically generated data, include tasks such as pre-processing and noise filtering before the association algorithm can be effectively applied.
